Close to Half Moon Bay in California is the coastal area that is home to the Mavericks Surfing Contest every March. This is scary stuff for the average joe (think deep water surfing, rocks, sharks) but during October, it is just another lovely day at the beach.Check out the video below to get an idea of what I am talking about...ay carumba!
